Passion and Puzzles: Jess's Journey of Mystery Interactive

Hi, I'm Jess! I've been passionate about storytelling since childhood. What started as a search for a creative way to entertain at my sister's birthday led me to the captivating world of Murder Mysteries. Then one day, I had an idea: what about a 24‑day advent calendar where each day reveals a new puzzle to solve?

I personally handle every step of the process, from crafting the story, creating puzzles, hiding pieces of evidence, and assembling each game. 

My guiding principles:

Learning through play 

I'm deeply passionate about blending education and fun, and learning through play. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that a child wanted to play my advent first thing every morning. I mean, if I got a kid to be excited about English and Math,  I am a happy gal. Woohoo!

Sustainability

My games are primarily paper-based and recyclable. I ship in cardboard boxes with paper or corn‑based packing materials, and I host hints and solutions on my website to avoid unnecessary waste.

Inclusivity

As a woman-led business, I am a huge advocate for inclusivity. The eagled-eye player may notice my games are often gender-neutral, my characters come from diverse backgrounds, and I include written text whenever sound‑based evidence appears.
